recently listened to murder of the universe, wtf were they thinking adding all of those monologues in every single fucking track?
i don't mind a bit of spoken word, but it's just one after the other over and over again. the bit of music you get in between sounded awesome, a shame they slathered all of the bullshit over it.

Didn't really like those parts either. I guess king gizzard like having gimmicks for each album but i feel that the spoken word just took me away from the music rather than drawing me in

I followed the narration pretty closely for the first half and it was basically all completely bullshit narratively. Her voice, inflection, etc was pretty good though I thought. The subject matter just basically goes nowhere. So then why bother? Might as well just put her on regular vocals.

Truth. I liked the weird cyborg narration in part 3 the best, but really the narration throughout limits the ability to enjoy the music - much of which is really good.
