why did you fags have me thinking that this was some super experimental this heat type shit?
>>74009531
Yeah I don't get whats so great about this either.
>>74009531
Who said that? It's just some fantastic post punk.
>>74009554
no it's great but everybody makes it out to be super inaccessible
>>74009567
i always see it posted alongside the pop group and this heat
Yeah, it's entry level, but it's still really good
A lot of bands that were influenced by this were rather experimental though. Stuff like Big Flame or World Domination Enterprises owes a lot of debt to it, but is way more far out in its experimentation.
>>74009531
I've never heard of Entertainment! referred to in that light, it's like the polar opposite of This Heat. Shit's very straightforward lyrically and musically for the most part, it's just anchored by strong rhythms and Gill's batshit insane guitar playing.

If you've never heard Gang of Four before coming to /mu/ then you're clearly underage.
>>74010195
my mom doesn't know who gang of four is

2017 the year of fetus posting
>DUDE MARXISM LMAO
>>74009575
True, and they should be desu. Both are some of the greatest Post Punk records even though Deceit tends to stray from most other Post Punk albums.
try lemon kittens if u want more experimental post-punk
>>74009531
For some reason people like to hype up communist post-punk, so that album would be put in a league where it doesn't belong, still pretty good though.
>>74009531
It's a dance record you fucking square. It's not meant for passive listening.
>>74009531
Post punk doesn't actually get as experimental as some of it's best examples do.
The more experimental version of Gang of Four was Sarlo Akrobata/Disciplina Kicme

who said it's expeirmental...it's good, like the 1st 3 wire records
>>74010195
Nobody who would post that is over 18
The EP is better
The punks sold out when they started releasing LPs
>>74011592
This is pretty dope. Never heard of these two before. Any others? I need more dancey post punk.

that's another great Yugoslavian post punk band (from Zagreb; Sarlo Akrobata were from Belgrade)
>>74009531
I think you're thinking of This Heat
I always thought of this album as just really well made straightforward rock music.
>>74013001
Guitar playing is everything but straightforward rock guitar playing.
>>74013015
they're rhythmically really weird too
>>74013061
Vocal performance makes it danceable most of the time.
