Most albums I've encountered with deluxe editions have some songs tacked on at random at the end with no idea of cohesion or themeing. So why consider the deluxe songs to really be part of the album? Has there been any "deluxe edition" of an album that is considered the full version?
They're not, that's why they're deluxe tracks you dickmonger

they're there so they can say the deluxe edition has more songs aka they get more money

I mostly bring this up because sometimes I see people on here say that so and so deluxe track was their favorite on the album. But is it even really on the album in the first place? Does it count?

It doesn't really count, but it does anyway. As long as they're thrown in at the very end of the tracklist it doesn't really bother me desu
