Why does music sound better on iPhone? Does the music industry mix eq songs just for apple products. Coming from android and tested my headphones on my friends iPhone. There clearly is a difference.
I highly doubt it does, iPhones probably just have better low end or something which makes it "sound better."

i think iphones/ipods did or do have decent internal DACs
it's just better hardware, not magic

Cirrus Logic 338S1201 chip. It says it plays 16 bit cd quality. Im surprised it can power my hd600's
There definitely does seem to be a trend to master songs for iPhone consumption; usually it seems to be heard in the overextended bass and compression to compensate for the weak amplification
Cheap Androids tend to have shitty DACs
Basically you should look for a player with a Wolfson chip; those have always sounded noticeably better to me. Haven't heard the recent iPhones so can't really compare there.

many industry professionals do use iphones and other smartphones to check their mixes, yes. you would be stupid not to, considering it's one of the more common ways people listen to music.
there is a mastering service for apple, yes

Was the test a blind test? If not kys

yeah weirdly enough music sounds better on my iphone 6
than my 2012 mba
It's the hardware.
I bought an LG G4 nearly 2 years ago upgrading from some piece of shit I only used for texts/calls and I was legit shocked at how fucking bad the audio on it was to the point where I thought my phone was fucked.
I use the same portable headphone amp on it that I use at home and there is a clear muddiness to the bass that isn't present when I use that same amp/same headphones on my computer.

Different DAC and AMP.
It shouldn't be a difference unless your android device use low quality shit.
The best sounding phone is an Android and its HTC U11.
Runner up is HTC 10, LG V20 and LG G6.

iPhones and HTCs have dedicated DACs
