Because if you haven't heard it it's easy to see as some boring dadrock album. Unlike most of its contemporaries discussed on this board it doesn't have a wacky cover or a crazy backstory or a reputation for being inaccessible.

Because, in spite of it's international popularity, this album is quintessentially BRITISH!

Unless you grew up in England in the early to mid 1960s you're never going to fully understand it 100%. (Still a great album, though)

The Who at peak performance. The Who is oddly underrated here, it's very much a band that people should talk about more yet it's almost ignored.

Sell Out to Quadrophenia is just one of the best 4 album streaks out there.
