i've already seen some vids but it's safe to say i know absolutely nothing.anyway, how long does it take to make shit start to sound like music? any tips for me or just easy songs or something? thanks boys

Play chords and find a progression that sounds good. For the note, riffs, solos, ect, use the notes in the chords. Add lyrics and you've got a basic song.
