Are 67 the modern day Public Enemy? Or are they more of a Bone Thugz?

money afi make is their best song
Musically they are not very good, highly derivative of the Chicago drill sound long after it stopped being impactful or interesting. Very uninspired lyrics in every song, about the same theme again and again (I kill opps, I have weapons, I sell drugs, I get girls).
The thing with the UK rap scene is that it rewards rappers more for being 'real' more than for skill. In other words rappers that have a genuine pedigree of being drug dealers/gang members attract more kudos than rappers who have better lyrics but don't really live the life. Punching up or stabbing a rival will attract more attention than releasing a great single. Even being arrested attracts positive attention among the fans, as it's proof the rapper is 'real'.
That's why they tweet shit like pic related, look how desperate they are for people to know they are in trouble with the law.
I'd personally prefer someone who can rap well and I don't care if they really live the life, that's the way the scene has been for 10 years and it shows no sign of changing.
