Hey y'all. Last one died. Post your stuff, give feedback or maybe have a conversation, yeah?
QOTD: Have you been influenced by any movies or directors in particular?

>"In the year of our lord 1997, we have finally freed ourselves from the muck of obscenity. God has bestowed upon us our savior resurrected in the form of Esther Campbell. We who once were lost, navigating through this society of filth, have found our compass. Esther is not sick, but blessed with the most righteous of visions. For this she has payed a price. We have freed her from her prison. The curse of medicine is bestowed from the wicked. We remain holy. If she is to leave this material world and transcend to his infinite pleasures, we shall all follow. Our great subjugator is benevolent and our time is soon coming to an end. Humanity is this world’s burden and consciousness is ours."

definitely influenced pretty heavy by blade runner (obvious) but I dig a lot of stuff. blue valentine and oldboy are other big ones. on a David Lynch kick lately.

I love this lo-fi production. Now poland is rather middle Europe but these tracks sounds more eastern and that's a good thing. You have made singer-songwriter music produced like primitive blackmetal like early Absurd and it's a great mach. It is raw and I think it should stay that way. Your echoes merge with the piano melodies and the rhythm that appears when the striking of the notes delays on 1/2 notes. Fantastic. I would like to know what you are singing and saying. This is good. And this is not what you expect.
Hello nerd. I'm back with some Legit Swan Reviews! I'm a Typical Ambient Guy #4242356 and I'm here to say few words about music I haven't previously heard. Warning - this is just my opinion, leave your feelings behind!
>>73920194
First of all - the Bandcamp design is terrible. The background image is shit and the banner makes it all but better. Anyway, I've heard few of your tracks and I think I got why you can't hear vocals on my release since your stuff is obnoxiously loud and annoying. Pass it through some EQ filters because after just a few minute listen through my headphones I got a small migraine, not even joking. The whole sound seems to be mixed weirdly as well. Some sounds break into another and not in a good way. If you wanted to disorientate the listener then good job, I guess. Also, that asking price - either you are quite a big ego or you are out of your mind if you think somebody is going to buy this for almost 8 dollars. If this was a bass therapy then I don't want a new one any time soon.
>>73919491
Now this is interesting. I though that after The K Hole Sessions I wouldn't see much of an improvement from you guys but here it is. The recording is nice and soft enough for the acoustic-based performance. The variety of the tracks is a bit lackluster though. I think the "acoustic" formula can be a bit more enhanced by some additional instrumentation and less vocals. Not to say vocals are bad but, again like I've noticed on the previous releases, they lack something interesting and attention grabbing. I need them The Carriers to spice up the sound, that's what I'm saying.
>>73918993
Extremely vidia-based. Which can be a good thing if you're into that kind of sound but for me it's an instant ear-block (sort of like cock-block or whatever). One thing to notice though - the mix isn't half-assed which is always appreciated.

>>73920912
ah. there they are. will you release this on tape? or cdr or something? the lyrics are raw and primitive as well as the music. it's about feelings without being pretentious at all.
>>73920955
>>73920955
Sadly, I'm not considering any physical releases for this album. Like I've mentioned in the description this is just a demo for a new project and I put it out for a bit so see how people would react to that kind of stuff and how to enhance it. However if that project will get a lot attention (it will be quite similar - piano based stuff etc.) I'd might think about putting it out there on CDs, we'll see.
Yeah i would buy. I have dowloaded the tracks so i can burn it myself. I have a friend that would love this demo. I say that you should keep to the primitive raw production. It works well with your voice and piano. Maybe using a compressor for bringing forth the deeper sounds of the muddle register.

>>73918800
I don't know guys. I like punk but just not of that kind. Way too artificial, way too plastic-y to be enjoyed strictly on the aggression standpoint. Feels very Offspring-y to me (maybe because of the California connections?) and I can see you guy must have a lot of fun. But to me this sound is way too behind the curve. Way too silly for an actual enjoyment. But, hey, at least you got a great sounding record which is something not many anons can actually do, so, good job on that department.
>>73920855
First up - I'm not a fan of Dungeon Synth. It's not like there's something inherently wrong with it or anything, I'm just a sucker for a straight-up ambient, the one which goes into you with more "subtle" sounds. I've heard some tracks from you and I'm honestly still not sold to the entire DS thing. However, and that's a huge "but", it was an enjoyable listen nonetheless. One of the things which works here is that the artificial sound synths are making are actually somewhat attention grabbing and very physical. There is also strong sense of atmosphere on that release which is always great in my book. But, again that comes back to DS thing being completely not for me, I feel like there's an extreme distortion between sounds which are extremely epic in scale and sounds which are just outright cheesy. I can't say if that's the case for a whole genre but this is the most glaring problem to me. But holy crap, that mixing is gorgeous! I would be actually interested to see what you could you do in the same area of music but not DS related. Would be a treat for sure.
>>73921043
Thanks for sharing! And I'll look into that compressor thingy for sure

Thanks man! Yeah, I was an audio production major so I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to mixing and stuff. I get that vidya sounding music isn't everyone's thing but thanks for listening regardless

Thank you very much for the criticism
For this release I used famitracker with konami vrc7 extension for the synth tracks and field recordings and mixing for the rest. the sounds are cheesy but i try to keep it just on the edge so that it is still not to overwhelmingly ugly sounding so that you can enjoy the composition. I am rather pleased with the results. famitracker are otherwise used to do chiptune music and that is my main thing. it is not produced like this at all. if someone would like to look into that here is a link:

sounds too much like 90s pop punk. A little heavy handed in the whole rebellion thing. I like the first song a lot more than the featured song, but it still sounds pretty typical. Same chord progression as Nirvana - Lounge Act
