Hey /mu/.
I've been interested in learning Ableton for beatmaking/IDM/ambient music for a while now. I have Live 9 Suite on my computer, could anybody hit me with tutorial recs/pdfs/useful plugins/general starting tips? Thanks in advance.

Download massive. Figure the rest out on your own like 99% of successful producers.

Pretty much this. Spend time with it, watch videos and read the manual. Everything else you will figure out, necessity will force you to learn.

Massive is shit. Get Serum if you want a wavetable wubwub vst.
Step one: read the manual while you follow along in the program. Then experiment around to get used to the interface and how things are laid out. Your workflow is what makes your music and what makes your gud or shit. There's no shortcut really but for a sample of what a good workflow can look like, this guy's vids are a good example (even though he just makes retarded bass music): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDbnuxMmLOPBxf0QHHo66pGALOfKLt_fR
