>tfw you criticize 95% of musicians then actually sit down and try to make music and realize it's really hard
>>73899039
>tfw you think that the music community is made of elite music savants that are miles ahead of anything you can aspire to only to hear them describe their creative process as cramming random chords together on a drunken bender
>>73899039
>tfw you think most music is mediocre and no one really tries hard enough and finally sit down and write fucking mind altering beautiful music that is better than 99% of the shit people listen to each time and realise you were right all along
Feels excellent to be a genius songwriter desu m8

>spend large amount of time trying to figure out how this guy made his first album
>it was a just a bunch of shitty demo clips that were spliced and produced by another guy
>tfw when you work your ass off learning theory and practicing only to find many of the most successful guys dont know shit about theory and just smoke weed and get drunk all the time, but they do practice

To be honest, I just started trying to do this yesterday on my computer and it is incredibly easy.
Computers can make nearly arbitrary sequences of sound, even with minimal actual recording equipment or funding. An infinite library of sound samples can be acquired from the internet and then nearly arbitrarily modified in programs like Audacity to compose pieces of infinite creativity.
And yet, so many recording artists are still extremely conformist in their devotion to tropes and traditions that appear in music. I was shocked at how easy it was to outdo everybody in the music industry. I will soon have composed a 2 hour long album which is, literally, the best music ever created. Everybody in the music industry really is an idiot.

Most pop music is based on emotion and lolsorandumbdudeweed rather than strict understanding of music theory.

That's what every artist thinks and the vast majority of them are terrible
