"I was on so much ketamine at the time, that I actually decided to write a song about my truck talking" -Jason Aldean
That's the only one OP. No other album in history has a musician been under the influence of illegal substances while recording it.
drugs are bad for you guys
This was probably the most explicit album about psychedelic drugs from the 60s. Blue Jay Way on shrooms is fucking amazing.

beatles albums from rubber soul (1965) to let it be (1970) were all made under a drug use context
Everybody posting all sorts of depressants, downers, psychedelics, anesthetics, etc.
But this record here is the epitome of a bunch of angry young guys on speed. The sloppy, raw, and fast paced nature of the record is a testament to that.

10/10
>The album's change in style has root in several events. Parker began to feel that even songs outside the psychedelic genre could possess its qualities; he made this assumption while accidentally under the influence of mushrooms and listening to the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive".[11][13]

people don't often realize that the drug use doesn't always manifest as wild, colorful imagery, sometimes it just makes bloated, incoherent music
>The inspiration for this album was, according to George Clinton, an attempt to "see if we can cut a whole album while we're all tripping on acid."[3]

lmao Eulogy and Light is the most fried song ever
Kind of on the nose about it as well
All /mu/fags should do LSD or Shrooms at least twice in their lives. It's not addictive, it's fun, it makes everything (especially music) sounds better and wider.
Do your own research with an open mind.

>>73898466
Can we make this a meme where Alan Jackson is actually a hard core drug user? At least then he'll have made something entertaining.
>>73898864
No, psychedelics are an amazing thing and people should be more open to their use but it's irresponsible to say everyone should try them.

*Jason Aldean
most god damn albums

>"We camped out at the studio, so it was literally just wake up, consume as much fucking drugs as possible, and then just start jamming."
It would be harder to find albums that WEREN'T recorded while on drugs.
>>73900142
It's funny, they originally only intended to record an EP with only a few of the tracks already written before entering the studio. Once they got in, the rest of the songs came from drug-fueled jams. It's funny how that happened considering its one of the landmarks of the genre.
