>Fleet Foxes - 8/10
The songs were all catchy as fuck, but the songwriting and compositions were never very complicated or interesting. Very nice pop album.
Best track: Blue Ridge Mountains
>Helplessness Blues - 6.5/10
The lyrics were much more matured from their previous album, and the composition was slightly more complex, but I got bored of it very soon. There are times when I feel that the vocal melodies do not match the instruments. Bedouin Dress was a terrible choice to put right after Montezuma.
Best track: Helplessness Blues
>Crack-Up - 9/10
The lyrics have matured even more since Helplessness Blues, and they didn't fuck up the musicality this time. Pecknold utilizes a mixture of classic, acoustic instruments and adds a modern twist with subtle usage of synths. It's a lot more melodic and open-sounding, and less crowded than Helplessness Blues.
Best track: Third of May / Ĺdaigahara
