It's like the only album from the year it came out, that not only exceeds expectations and lives up to the hype, it is just truly larger than life, which seemed to me to be the goal of '67. AOTY 1967. Sgt Pepper got an honorable discharge, Forever didn't Change and the Gates of Dawn got closed.
This album was popular at its time and was critically acclaimed as it should be. Why is it that not so much people know about this album? Is way better than Velvet Underground and yet everybody talks about them.

there was a doc on BBC4 a year or so ago talking about prog and they pretty much stated that Days of Future Passed is the album that made albums matter, pretty much changed the industry from the singles standard it had been in up to that point.
