Stop being a freak and just nod your head to the music. Christ.
Just let go. All music is fundamentally built around the same things (for the most part).
Find the elements you like in your sad jams in the happy dance jams. It's goofy, but it's a lot more fun and rewarding than sitting in the corner thinking about all the other, better music you could be listening to.
I know from experience that once you start jumping around and singing the stupid hooks that fun is bound to ensue.
happy as in lyrically or just upbeat in sound? anyway;
listen to patrician happy music
lift weights
spend time in the sun
