>tfw rates music by enjoyment and categorises them into:
10 for albums that would regularly relisten to
8-9 for albums with good moments worth revisiting
6-7 for albums that if not good at least didn't bore me
4-5 for either mediocre releases or objectively good music that didn't personally interest me
2-3 for albums hard to finish without great effort due to boredom or shittiness
1 for albums that make me angery

What's about albums that i enjoy greatly but i cannot listen to them frequently because they are too emotionally heavy?
>>73788429
those are 11's for me, at least in movies, never had that for music
>>73788429
Op here. Thats impressive man. I only get basic emotions from music such as happy, angry, funked up or euphoria. I havent encountered anything emotionally strong enough to stop me from listening to music; likely due to my lack of appreciation for lyrics.
In all honesty, that's not something Id like to encounter in my music!

You should try getting into Swans
>>73788459
Btw pic related is the best Swans album but it's too experimental to be a proper starting point. I recommend you to listen to this after you already got to know them through some of their other work
Op here, the Swans are pretty nice but intense emotions like that? I've failed to grasp those while going through their discog. I suppose my tastes work differently.
>How do you guys rate/ enjoy yo music?
by how likely i am to replay it

my 10s are almost all those, I never regularly listen to them, I probably listen to my favourite album once or maybe twice a year, too heavy
7-9 is stuff I listen to regularly
6 is listened to occasionally
5 is either heavily mediocre and single songs are listened to here and there or up for relisten at some point
1-4 are varying levels of shittiness and boring stuff tho sometimes I'll relisten to some maybe if my taste is changing
Lasting impression is easily the most important.
Some of you autists think that something you can listen to every day is good.
10 classic "objectively good"
9 personal favourite even though it's not "objectively good"
8 can enjoy listening to
7 worth a listen
6 don't regret listening too
5 don't really care
4-1 are from bad to atrocious
