What is the best streaming platform?
I see advantages for both Spotify and Tidal, but not Apple Music.
Spotify has the best UI and best community-support (sharing playlists, adding friends, and all that if that's what you like doing).
Tidal has the best audio quality and pay the artists the most per stream.
Why do people use Apple Music?
What does /mu/ prefer?
Personally I use free Spotify because I like having the files on my computer over streaming, but if I do make the switch it's almost no question Tidal.

My data plan includes free Tidal and so far I can't complain about it

Google Play Music. Track mirroring usually works great, excellent selection, auto playlists based on your tastes are based, handy for mirroring your music collection.
I use Spotify and have no complaints at all. The quality is good and the UI is fine. Sure there are a small handful of artists that aren't on Spotify but I Just pirate those.
Google Play Music - you can upload tracks, for all your underground needs
Google Play Music > Tidal > Spotify > Apple Music
Spotify has the best all platform support imo, after testing most of em.
But recently i found out that it has a limit of 10k songs in "your library", you can follow unlimited artists but only save songs and albums up until the 10k mark, which sucks.

Nice lies! :)

Google play music is the best. Great for having your music collection on your phone too.

Apple Music has the best selection but it runs like shit on a PC. So I use Spotify.

Not to mention it wipes your library when it updates all the time.

this. spotify is terrible. tidal is not good enough.
google lets you have your own music library and also can auto create instant-mixes from it which is so nice. they even have a pandora-esque radio option
Spotify. Only problem is that it sometimes crashes for me, but the layout and music and everything is good. There could also be more artists on there, but that's not their fault.

>Tidal pay the artists the most per stream
Didn't Kanye just sue them for owing him 3million dollars?

lmao
Spotify.

Also includes Youtube Red, which eliminates ads and lets you play in the background on your phone. Usually fills in the gaps of what's not in the library, so you can check stuff out before downloading or whatever.
