how do i get gud at soloing on guitar? i know scales and pentatonic

big deal if you can string 20 sweeps together, if it doesn't fit the song or sound cohesive it's garbage

yeah true, i mean i can noodle around slowly and have it sound alright, so should i just do that and speed it up to normal speed for solos?

also would learning licks from other guitarists help or would that just make me basically be a copy?

Once you get the scale notes down and into your subconscious, stop thinking about the scale notes.
Instead think about rhythm and tension/release
