Sunn are playing very close to where I live this month. Are they worth seeing live or is it a meme?

Would the majority of their audience notice if they would just fuck around and randomly hit some atonal chords here and there and that's it?
Or is everyone a hardcore fan?
you will have a great time

Absolutely worth it.
Here's some clips when I went a few months ago:

Sounds like the longest soundcheck ever.

Yeah, you could describe the music like that, I suppose.
It was pretty surreal, though. Not a second of silence or a break for 2 hours. I almost shit my pants from all the endless sub-bass and vibration
I saw Om live and enjoyed it quite a bit. Not sure if I could stand two hours of Sunn though.
If it's the Manchester one, it's worth it just for Demdike Stare

1:02:00 onwards is comedy. wtf
One live show is worth more than their whole discography. I saw them, Swans and Black Sabbath last year and I enjoyed Sunn the most so GO AND SEE THEM, ANON
Don't forget investing in good silicone earplugs though. You don't want to miss those frequencies, they sound incredibly clear and nice despite the loudness

Yeah, Attila is not that scary at a low volume

They do it occasionally. They like to fuck around with interference and other things. That's what the band is about anyway, sound and amplifier worship.
