All this shitty American trap rap may be bad but at least it's not as bad as German rap, right?

Recently I decided to give rap a try after voidid it for all my life. May I ask what are bars? I keep seeing this term thrown. Like
>that guy has mad bars
???

"Bars" are just the rap equivalent of stanzas. When someone says "that guy has mad bars", it means that the rapper's lines are rhythmically poignant.
The slang derives from basic music theory. In summary, music tends to be divided in "bars" and "beats", which, when together, make a "time signature". Most (if not all) pop music follows a 4/4 time signature, meaning for every 1 bar, there will be 4 beats, and 4 bars make up 16 beats . Since most hip-hop/rap music is pop-influenced (whether they like to admit it or not), hip-hop/rap music commonly followes this 4/4 time signature. Because of this, the "bars" of the rapper can be separated by at least 4. "Spitting 16 bars" means to conjure up 16 4-line (rhythmic or semi-rhythmic) "bars". That may sound like a lot, but at the 90-100bpm (beats per minute) tempo most rap songs lay in, it doesn't take a whole lot of time, and is pretty standard for the industry (especially for guest verses).
I hope that is helpful, I'm not the best at explaining musical things, I know. I can answer any other rap questions you may have.

But this is actually much better than the crap rap that is usually discussed here!

Thanks a lot. So the part I marked in red would be the equivalent of a rap bar, right? And 16 of those would make the lyrics.
Beats, then, are syllables strongly pronounced?
If you don't mind, I'll use an example as I think I might understand it better that way. This are the first two lines from the first verse from Kendrick Lamar's Humble:
>Ayy, I remember syrup sandwiches and crime allowances
>Finesse a nigga with some counterfeits, but now I’m countin' this
Each has 16 syllables. Is each line a bar? Or several bars?
Btw, does rap use iambic pentameter? That kind of rhythm doesn't exist in my language so it's difficult for me to visualize it.

The verse is usually 16 bars long, correct, however this may vary. Beats are just drum beats.
