/mu/ how do you describe the feeling produced by songs like:
>the man in me by Bob Dylan
>oh sweet nuthin by VU
>pretty much everything The Band put out
Don't know what to call the feeling. It makes me relax and kinda makes my soul warm. It feels like post-coitus lying in bed with a soft girl resting her head on your chest.
Looking for more songs that remind you of those songs. Doesn't have to be from that time period. Can be any musician from any genre in any time. It's just gotta give that feel.

Me again. Feel like Redbone from Bino's last album fits the bill, as different as it is from VU and the Band.

Fleetwood Mac. Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh. Probably some Rolling Stones.
Maybe some early Strokes? I'm thinking 12:51, Soma
Why does nobody on this website ever talk to me
Is it because I always have the wrong frog
>>73695906
the best way i would put it is just the music resonating with you on every level

Jerry gets me every time
Absolutely everything on Nashville Skyline, especially the first track with Johnny Cash.
>All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
>Sunflower by Beach Boys
>The Nazz s/t
>Something/Anything by Todd Rundgren
>You Turn Me On by Beat Happening
>Neil Young
>the goofball himself Mac Demarco
Also a Burt Bacharach or Carpenters greatest hits compilation

This is amazing. I didn't even know Jerry Garcia had a side project. Added to the list

Good list. Only one I'm not on board with is Mac Demarco, I'm just not a big fan. What Neil Young song gets you?
Peter Gabriel – Solsbury Hill
Passion Pit – Little Secrets
XO – Waste

Another one is Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh. It's a little slice of kinda corny dad rock that I really love. Not as good as the other songs but makes me smile every time. Pretty sure he never had another song though.

Also adding a decent amount of Wilco for the relaxing feeling, and probably the warm fuzzy feeling of Here Comes Your Man, Pixies.
Wildcard? House of Cards by Radiohead. All time most relaxing song

You like Nashville Skyline? Is that a pretty popular opinion among big Bob Dylan fans? I only know him decently. Never hear anyone talk about this one
>>73697075
Yeah it's pretty well liked

It's probably his most polarizing album. I think it's incredibly touching, and it proves that Bob Dylan is a great SONGRWITER, and not just some formless surrealist. I think the people around here like it too. Basically, if you have some appreciation for structure and genre, you'll love it.

another awesome cover by Jerry

Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Out On the Weekend, and Harvest are my personal favorites. It just occurred to me that the word you're looking for is "autumnal," which is exactly what the aforementioned songs are.
>>73697207
Perfect word. Some kind of comfy feeling. I'll look into that Neil Young.

Thank you so much for being the Jerry guy and sending me directly to the best stuff. This is amazing, I have so much to listen to.
