Hey guys, I was approached by a Warner a&r guy the other day after he heard one of my tracks, with talk of a possible 5 year multi-million dollar contract. Should I sell my soul and accept the offer or retain my artistic integrity and stay poor forever?
Ask a possible rich and famous musician anything.
Get rich boi, make weird projects on the side
This is the track in question that brought about the whole deal in the first place.

Holy shit anon, I think you might have written the greatest and best song in the world. I'm not surprised you're getting record deals thrown at you. What's your secret?

>Should I sell my soul and accept the offer or retain my artistic integrity and stay poor forever?
>implying you`ll ever get rich
>implying you won't have to be forced to play endless gigs and sell merch because the label will retain all your album sales profit

If you're fine with being poor I wouldn't accept it. If you wanna attempt to make some bank I'd say it's worth a shot
The most satisfaction occurs when you struggle for something worthwhile (intrinsic reasons, not OTHER PEOPLE'S reasons).
Focus hard on doing the things you like to do for their own sake...that is, things you'd do regardless of whether someone rewards you.
Otherwise, doing what you love will turn into a chore and no additional money will make you happy.

Yeah maybe like five years into being signed to a major label or more

You would be stupid not to accept that.
