What's your process for listening to a new album?
For me I listen to it in the back ground while playing a relaxing game to get a general understanding of the sound.
Then the next day I focus down and listen to it while looking at the lyrics(If any) if there's no lyrics I just listen to it more "carefully"
Then I listen to it later in the week just to see if I just felt different on the other days.

I listen to a record on repeat till it clicks, and if clicks I listen to it even more on repeat.

I could never do that. I have to let it settle with me for a bit
I take a long hot bath to prepare myself for the listening of the album. I may, or may not, depending on album and personal mood, puff a cigar.

There are some exceptions, but most often this is my approach too. However, mostly I listen to the album while focused the first time, and then go about your process.

However suits the album. I only ever listen to Soundtracks for the blind in its entirety with my eyes closed, but I listen to 21 Savage while trolling people on the internet. Whatever process the album draws me to do when I first listen to it is what I'll do. I usually listen more intently the second time though.
I press play. The music plays. I listen to the music that is playing.
