Blur is better than Radiohead. Admit it. Radiohead is just a bunch of half baked pretentious garbage. They haven't made a good album since OK Computer. And even then, The Bends is better. Blur has a solid discography.
I was gonna listen to you but then you said radiohead haven't made a good album since OKC which is just wrong

this
ignoring Hail to the Thief like that is fucking criminal

yeah i was just talking bullshit. if im honest i probably like Blur more but Radiohead does have some strong albums post OK Computer. Kid A is a bit overrated but still really good. I like Amnesiac a lot, and In Rainbows of course.
I think Blur have made three albums I would take over OK Computer, and they should get some credit for 13 coming out before Kid A, and also generally managing to experiment without giving up on their lightheartedness. But Kid A onwards is mostly great.

which albums would those be?

Blur basically did what Radiohead were credited with doing before Radiohead did it, so yeah, you probably have a point. They're really underrated here at the very least, I'd imagine partly due to a blanket hate of Britpop, and also for that Nardwuar interview where the drummer was a cunt.

Blur, 13 and Think Tank. And actually I think Mansun's Six is the peak of that period of British alt-rock, even though it doesn't seem to get mentioned as often.

How is Radiohead pretentious? Everyone says they are, but I just can't see it to be honest.

I'm glad you mentioned Mansun. They, and Six in particular, are unbelieably underrated.

I guess they're pretentious in that they take themselves seriously. I just don't see how that's much of a criticism.
