It really is the truth. I'm in the same exact situation right now so I know what I'm talking about. Yea I could practice my guitar and get really good but what then? I'll still be alone with no friends and working a job that barely pays a livable wage. Better to just accept our lot in life instead of performing mental gymnastics. Like I said, doing stuff like that is unhealthy and will eventually lead to delusions of grandeur. Sorry for the pessimism but better you accept it now than later.
