I'll actually give a serious answer -- Get a used/cheap kit. Don't spend less than 400 on a new one. Cheap drums sound shitty no matter what so practice tuning if your sound is really important to you (which it shouldn't be as a beginner). Don't forget cymbals (hi hat, ride, crash), drum heads, and hardware (throne, hi hat stand, cymbal stands, bass pedal). If you buy a "complete" set it will come with all of these things. This one looks solid:

Take lessons with a legit teacher -- this is more important for drums than most other instruments
Other necessary purchases -- drumming headphones, a practice pad (~$15), sticks (~$10), a metronome (there are apps if you're on a budget), and a book called Stick Control (this is the bible of drumming, practice your way through with a metronome. It will be very difficult at first but it's a necessary evil -- every drummer does it).
Once you get the basics down, start playing along to your favorite songs (w/ the headphones). Play along with everything/anything you think sounds fun. I could recommend some good starter songs if you have a favorite genre/artist.
