What's the difference between k-pop and j-pop? It all sounds the same to me.

one difference is that kpop is more internationally popular than jpop ever was
K pop is Chinese and j pop is Asian
K-pop is Korean and J-pop is Japanese. Fundamentally, that's the only difference.

This applies too; I can't really tell you why though.

Kpop copies American pop music more.
kpop idols act like sluts but are actually pure
jpop idols act pure but are actually degenerates
>>73626246
jpop: marketing term for japanese pop music
kpop: underage pornography
>>73626246
kpop is literally western pop
jpop is experimental and overlaps with many other genres.
kpop idols are better dancers
>>73626246
you can be experimental and be j-pop
>>73626246
J-POP is basically K-POP expect not trash
jpop is good
kpop is bad

k-pop actively promotes to oversea audiences, japan doesn't need to cause there's more than enough money in their industry, but it's annoying cause they can get more $ from oversea people.
on youtube every korean company uploads their artists full music videos in 1080p, their music varitey shows are uploaded right away usually with english subs etc.
meanwhile the majority of japan's youtube channels actually block non-Japanese viewers from watching it, a lot of them still refuse to upload the full video opting for "short versions" instead, try and upload a Japanese music show and your account will be terminated. list goes on

can you give an example of experimental jpop?
This is Jpop. There's nothing in Kpop like this:
