I want to start making music.
What are some good tutorials and materials to help me get started with Fruity Loops?
I play guitar and piano and dabbled with writing songs, but I want to try this.
I also love videogame music, and this looks like something I'll be able to do something similar

get ableton instead

why?
its better to only listen to tutorials when you can figure out how a program works. Which should just come once you cant figure something out. Spend a long time practicing and developing your own sound. Find what you are best at with the program. Dont watch tutorials onto how to make a style of music then expect it to be good once you do it

Thank you.
Still, I'm getting absolutely lost in the program. For now, I just want to write a melody, backing and assign them instruments,
>open FL
>load up z3ta+
>Chords of Life preset
I hate myself
>watch frankjavcee
>have fun
>laugh
>also learn
this is what I did desu
>Open up FL Studio
>add NL Massive to a channel
>open piano roll
>select preset major chord
>paste anywhere
>paste again 1 bar later, but this time 2 semi tones lower
>repeat this twice more
>create new channel
>add preset 4/4 drum beat
and there you go, you're a professional deep house producer

Got most of it, it seems. I have a looping melody with the last loop having a bit of a twist and ending on a long note. I can't figure out how to make the last note echo and fade out.

this. there's not many entertaining tutorials on fl, so it's nice to have frank explain while being funny. busyworksbeats and stuff like that is so taxing bc they're just so long. also, watch SeamlessR to get a better understanding of the software and what does what. have fun, keep going, get better.
