Are people who say "Anything but country!" when you ask them what music they like the most boring people on earth?
>>73605255
nah, they just like memes
so yes, they are
>>73605255
What country could they be from?
Yes
I have never heard someone make this statement who turned out to like any interesting music or be any fun at all. That "Anything" always turns out to mean "an extremely small selection of radio-friendly subgenres" and they usually get baffled at any weird non-radio music
I honestly like almost every genre of music, even some country. I just can't stand the 'country' feel or sound, its probably different for people from the USA. but yeah.

I don't think you're the person OP is talking about
If you have heard of "shoegaze", "noise", "post-punk", "no wave" or basically anything that you wouldn't hear playing on your average local radio, you're not the type of dude to pull the "everything but country"

Everyone who says that only listens to entry level hip-hop and radio edm, if you were to put on anything other than those two genres they would call 'em shit
>>73605255
>what music you like
>i hate music
Because when people ask this they are either some asshole that listens to top 40 and thinks it's alternative to like hip hop or some /mu/tant dildowielder expecting you to say Radiohead or some retard indie band the melon praised.
Country is legitimately a good genre, just listen to Johnny Rebel
My favorite people are the people who say that and then will gladly listen to any pop song with country aspects added in
I say this. Or I just say "classic rock." What the fuck else am I going to say? List a bunch of bands no one around me has ever heard of like Swans or MBL? Same with genres. Unless you live in a major city most people aren't going to know what you're talking about when you say witch house, no wave, shoegaze, etc. I've met exactly two people in real life who knew what vaporwave was.
