Lust For Life would be a good continuing point for Iggy. The best thing to do really is to check out the Stooges, and start off at Fun House if you haven't already.

For me Iggy Pop's discography steadily gets worse as it goes on. His best music is with the stooges and the solo stuff is also good but just continually went downhill as time went on.
