I've been thinking about it a lot. It's different. The lyrics are just as clever, but the themes are much shallower. I don't know why on earth she thought "party as a metaphor for a relationship" was a theme worthy of dominating the entire album.
I like the production. I like the songs. I don't like the concept.

yeah the lyrics aren't quite as "deep" or whatever but the overall sound of this album is much fuller which I think fits Lorde better overall
