some go harder than others, like that mark shreeve there that makes some kind of electronic hard rock that is borderline cheesy
you might like that funtan album, they fuse kraut(ish)rock with house music, it's really cool
also the invisibl skratch piklz is a great turntablism group, pretty freaky and fast stuff there

Kate Bush and Deftones are both fantastic. 385 are a cool band although I don't remember if I heard this particular album. Also I heard only good stuff about Sheena Ringo, totally planned to listen.

Shiina Ringo is my second favorite musician (after Kate Bush). She's definitely worth checking out. I'd start with Kalk Zamen Kuri no Hana and Shouso Strip. That 385 album is great too. Probably not as good as the EP most people around here know, but it's still worth a listen. Nice NIN, Mingus, and Kino btw.
