Thanks a lot! In the cubase project it's all in the same time signature and tempo, but I'm using septuplets (thanks google) to create that tempo change feel. It also makes the 7/8 bars have the same duration as the original 4/4 bars. So yeah it's effectively a tempo/signature change :)
