Sludge is important, but it's not a cohesive genre like the others. It's more like a label for extreme metal that doesn't fit cleanly into one of the other genres. For example, Eyehategod, Mastodon, Neurosis, and Melvins don't have a lot in common stylistically, other than playing extreme metal that's not black, doom, death, or thrash.

Anyway, I think your ratings are fairly accurate (insofar as you can rate a whole genre), although there's bands in each genre that I really like.

Ambient is generally too thin to give me what I want out of metal. I like dense walls of sound. Harsh noise can be cool too, but it's nice to have structure here and there.
