Just recently gave nina simone a listen. Amazing stuff, absolutely love her voice.

Listened to this recently too.

I was so impressed, I never bothered to give Elvis a chance as I just assumed his stuff consisted for 2 minute long bouncy rock. But my god does he have a voice on him.

"Trying to get to you" and "I'm counting on you" are my two favourite songs from the album. Solely because they're slower with a nice chrod progression, and he sings his guts out on em. He has a very strong voice with beautiful vibrato, these tracks perfectly compliment this.
