I was friends with Danny ever since we was in prison together. We were an odd couple, him a black man from Detroit and me, a white guy from England randomly incarcerated in the Kafkaesque American 'justice' system. We kept in touch after he got out, but drifted later in life. I was smuggling luxury goods from Oman to Iran when I heard. Ibrahim said to me, "Anon, your Danny Brown is with Allah now, bismillah." His death hit me hard and I went off the radar, only to emerge a few months ago. I'm living in Nepal now, teaching naked yoga to white girls. In many ways, it's what Danny would've wanted.
