First thoughts?
For me, probably an 8 after one listen but I expect it to grow on me.
ive been listening since may 11th and i love it more each run through
8 is an appropriate rating, i think its about on par with s/t and a little bit better than helplessness blues
3.5/5
it's okay. frustrating at times. at times it feels cohesive and complete and at other times it feels like a complete fucking inadvertently directionless mess.
what >>73411633 said, except I love that mess, 4/5

Haven't listened yet, what should I expect?
For the record Helplessness Blues is one of my favorite albums of all time, Self Titled is Pretty great IMO but not quite a favorite, and their EP is good.

This one is less fun/jubilant than HB
But a different style and there's some great tracks on it, a little darker
It's very very good after a few listens. Definitely the most cohesive project yet, but I'd still put it at the end of their discog. Its an incredible step of progression for the band but the lack of poppier songs is still a little disappointing as a listener.
Crack-Up 8/10
S/T 9/10
HB 9/10
SG 8.5/10
Good shit. More amazing arrangements and compositions. Heard it was less hooky and melodic than the others but some of it is as sunny and poppy as anything they've ever done.

I agree. Luckily Robin said the next album will be more energetic.

Yes! Already looking forward to it!

I haven't really liked any of their previous music but i like this one a lot. I'd give it an 8.

>decimal rating out of 5
why not just use a 10 scale?
>>73412181
What if I use a 10 rating scale AND decimals?
Quarter points included
