Not OP, but same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. I was listening to Songs for the Deaf and something just snapped, I guess, and music now feels like nothing. It's devastating. Weirdly, when I try to "force" myself to enjoy it, I get this painful feeling throughout my throat and mouth. Am I just crazy? Should I an hero? I've been trying to avoid listening to music for awhile, but it's such a big part of my life I now feel completely empty.

Yeah. I don't even listen to music in the car. It's talk radio only. On the rare occasion I do listen to music at home, it's either classical or country. Everything else just feels stale. Been this way for probably two years now.
