Why does /mu/ hate good music like country? It's objectively better than almost everything that's being discussed here except you have to dig a little bit to bypass the mainstream crap that make the genre look bad.

good or bad doesn't matter, the fact is that no matter how obscure the country artist you like, it carries exactly zero hipster cred and let's be honest here, moo is mostly populated by hipsters, posers, and weebs

So it's all about the image then rather than the sound then? I could never understand that given i was mostly into metal/punk before i dove into country and that was like love at first sight. So many different favors to choose from so why limit yourself out of a sense of conformity?
>>
>tfw no one to talk about largely forgotten classic country musicians like Lefty Frizzell and Webb Pierce with

Even when /mu/ does discuss country, it's only the "cool" ones like Gram Parsons and TVZ.
>>
Redpill me on country and maybe I'll be another person that'll make a thread about it.

Because as it stands now I hate the shit.

I'm into top 40 country. That pop bullshit that everyone hates. Brad Paisley can fucking shred. And his music is a good time starter. Alcohol makes me cry. I just don't like it when country adds in rap verses or hip hop beats. I mean cmon. You got the entire industry overflowing with hired guns in respective instruments. You don't have to bastardize other genres.

All these are great gateways for someone that doesn't like country/country rock. Work your way into older stuff if you like these.

Good to know my man also don't forget to try this good old boy, he is still one of my favorites and good to get you hooked on the genre. Lots of blues and folky sound in the general.

I have to say I really enjoyed these songs. I never really liked country because I live in Texas and all I seem to hear is junk Texas Country music. Thanks Anon for showing me a new perspective on the genre.
