It's about the meme of whites not being cool as blacks and being lame compared to them when doing things.

This is because whites are indeed cringy as fuck compared to blacks, when doing black people stuff. They simply aren't made for that and not only they look out of place doing it, but can't do it as well or as naturally.
When whites do "white people stuff/dances" they don't look cringy at all.

The same goes for the opposite. Black people look cringy and out of place when doing white dances (think European traditional dances and classic balet) as well.

It's just that in the US most popular dances are derived from black cultures, so whites end up being out of their zone.

Also, blacks tend to be lass spergy and more relaxed, which helps.

If you look at historic dancing and music of white and black people, they are unsurprisingly different. White dances include things like waltzing and tap dancing. White music and dance usually goes more with the melody as a reactive form of movement, while black music and dancing obviously goes with the rhythm.
Even a white dance like shuffling is essentially just fast tap/square dancing.

Most modern music is controlled by the "beat" instead of the melody so it isn't surprising that most white people don't know what to do.
