K-pop? Just get f(x)- Pink Tape and Wonder Girls- Reboot. If one of those don't get you into it, K-pop isn't for you. J-Pop has more variety though. Try Seiko Oomori maybe? Her new album is really good.

To be fair, f(x) have a very peculiar sound in Kpop and Reboot is pretty much unique since it goes for the 80s concept throughout the entire album.

Fair enough. Still, it's hard for me to imagine someone getting into K-pop if they don't at least kind of like Pink Tape. I probably have weird recs overall though because I gravitate towards the artists that stick out.

Now that I think about it Fantome has quite a few depressing songs that might not suite you.

What sets F(x) apart, just out of curiosity?

Seconding Shiina. She's the best. As far as happy albums go though, I'd say Sanmon Gossip over Shouso Strip. Both are great though. Kalk Zamen Kuri no Hana is her masterpiece, but it's hardly a happy album IMO.
Maybe check out Soutaiseiriron and Polkadot Stingray too.

They are really heavy on electronic sounds for a Korean idol group.

Beside the more bubblegum pop female idol groups, the two biggest things in Korea are Hip Hop and R&B, and Pink Tape doesn't really have either of them.
