Can I please get any other albums like this? I live in NYC and I'm obsessed with this type of post-punk at the moment.

It's like you new yorkers can't even post anonymously on a chinese cartoon board without announcing to everyone that you're from new york.
PROTO-punk:
Horses by Patti Smith
It's my favorite desu, I like it more than marquee moon
THIS CASE
>tfw I always forget how good Elevation is because its in between MM and Guiding Light

They're being retarded OP, no band in 1977 could be considered proto-punk.
>not understanding that the album has more in common with post-punk than any protopunk from the time
it was just ahead of its time, admit it
oh sweet a proto punk thread
post your favorite proto punk album guys

>I live in NYC
Why are you lying on an anonymous imageboard?

Try the whole Velvet Underground catalogue minus Squeeze.

I haven't listened to that in a while but proto punk that sounds like post punk describes Iggy Pop's The Idiot pretty well.
I've been in a similar spot as you OP but there isnt anything that sounds like this album sadly. In my search though i did discover Pink Flag by Wire which id reccomend

i don't hear any similarities at all except for the guitar interplay - the melodies and solos seem more in line with TVU or even the ramones
television had a pretty polished sound and more of a jazzy feel
