how underage are you. people were calling midtempo post grunge like Creed, Nickelback, and the Calling buttrock while they were popular. it's just trap influenced electropop. the boring mix of all the shitty popular music at the moment. another shitty trend. that last song you posted is also catching the tail end of the big "tropical house" trend.

I don't know man. I was born in 92, so I was a kid when all that stuff was popular. I remembered hearing people saying buttrock later in the life of that movement.

There comes a point when a stupid unoriginal sound gets done so much that they make a word for it. We don't just call punk fast, rebellious rock. You remind me of those people that kept saying dubstep wasn't a new genre because it was just slow dnb.
