I really like Sun Kil Moon but I can't get into this album

to be fair the album didn't click for me til i was doing a solo walk around kyoto (of all places) at night, so maybe the appeal is situational.

Benji got the P4k seal of approval because it has a lot of death and that makes it edgy

It's like with Carrie & Lowell, music for cucks who need emotion all in the lyrics

Universal Themes is ace, Benji is meh

Personally I just think it has a ton of great songwriting ideas, each track introduces a new way if telling a story and the sounds and the lyrics and the melodies all come together in a nice little emotional package, better than UT and Common is just behind it, would probably be passed it if it werent for Seventies TV Show Theme

I find it incredibly moving.
