I know we've had this thread tons of time, but what are some absolutely most bleak albums? Not 'muh gf' or anything like that, I mean real staring into the abyss, verge of suicide kind of stuff. The horrors of war, genocide, man's cruelty against each other, the futility of life, disease, death, etc.
Other than a few songs, I think this album has a total bleak feeling to it. Especially the closer.

I'm honestly surprised This Heat isn't brought up more here. Deceit is a really great album and "A New Kind Of Water" is an amazing track.

The Holy Bible by the Manics is as bleak as any album ever got in my humble opinion. Musically, probably not, but atmosphere, lyrics and theme wise, it is.
