What's /mu/'s thoughts on Roger Waters' new album? I was pleasently surprised that he could distance himself from the subject matter considering it previously seemed that he could only write about himself. Also his voice sounds just as good if not better than it did during his time with Floyd.
I paid a good $200 to see him do the wall in Seattle and I can say his voice talent is still on point for being an old fart.

Basically repackaged Pink Floyd songs, it's not bad, but it's nothing exceptional either.

Did Pink Floyd ever do anything this blatantly political though? Not saying that's a good thing, but it's definitely a change of pace

I'd argue that Animals is as political ass ITTLWRW. Hell, Waters straight up called Margaret Thatcher a pig, a charade, and a fucked up old hag.

The second verse of Pigs is about Thatcher
>Bus stop rat bag
Thatcher had infamously said "A man who, beyond the age of 26, finds himself on a bus can count himself as a failure"
>You fucked up old hag
Self explanatory
>You radiate cold shafts of broken glass
Referencing her icy-cold nature, the "Iron Lady"
