Have any of you ever approached your musical inspirations IRL?
In a few weeks my favourite band will be coming to my city. Usually I'm pretty good at talking myself into places, backstage etc. I really want to give them a letter in person and have said I would do it for years if they ever come here. Have any of you done this? Successfully?

bring a friend, there'll be other guys wanting to do this too and there may be slim chances of you being able to do this so get in there quick
but also, be sure to remember that meeting your heroes can be a disheartening experience and more often than not, you're likely to end up disappointed
