A little bit, butt it was the 00's where Japan was the coolest. There was TV like anime on Toonami or American stuff like Code Lyoko or Teen Titans. There were movies like Kill Bill and the Matrix. Music like the Gorillaz (Noodle I'm mostly talking about) and Nujabes. Japan was one of the in-cultures in the 00's. like in the 90's it was black american culture, we started thinking Japan was really cool in the 00's.
