My theory
ITCOTCK is a concept album about a man with PTSD after serving in a war
The first song is his experience fighting and the reason the rest of the album is so different is because of how much the "schizoid man" has changed
I talk to the wind is him realizing how stupid his problems were
Epitaph is where he sees how pointless fighting is and also "fuck the governments"
Molnchild is him witnessing innocence and mourning the loss of his own youth after being drafted and forced to kill
Title track is his observation of the world as a whole, the kingdom of the crimson king and the court they live in
