My voice is naturally D2. And I can barely hit C2 when I try and I cannot seem to sing much higher than F2 when I really try.
No matter how much emphasis I put the voice pitch analyzers always tell me D2. I speak in a very monotone way even though I try really hard to add variance. It puts real strain on me if I try to talk lower or higher.
I'm thinking of going to a vocal coach or taking singing lessons. But is it really worth the money? Will it help? Or am I genetically like this and no lessons will help?

Do some spoken words instead.

This, spoken word over a noisy post punk instrumental would be dope. Also, yes a vocal teacher would almost certainly help
