Yeah I don't know what to tell you, but no, not at all. I think it's The Beatles at their absolute creative best, which isn't to imply it's the most experimental or forward thinking, just that it distills everything that was great about them and uses it in a tasteful, fully realized manner.

I Want You (She's so Heavy) is the best song they ever made.

The suite on the second half is exquisite, but I agree with OP. This is the last-recorded Beatles album, and it is highly uncollaborative. Only the White Album features less collaboration.

--all miles ahead of this album for me. I personally even like Help! more although I will acknowledge that's a case of personal taste trumping objective fact.
